Music
and Solidarity:
FONDAZIONE
INSÉ AND NOA
TOGETHER
FOR KIMBONDO
21
October 2014, 9:00 p.m.
Teatro
Brancaccio, Rome
Another
big charity event organized by the Fondazione InSé Onlus, only this
time with the unmistakable voice of Noa, a talented and engaged
Israeli singer who will dedicate to the Kimbondo community her Rome
performance of her new tour, which is scheduled for 21 October at
Rome’s Teatro Brancaccio.
The
Israeli artist, who is loved around the world for her inborn capacity
to touch people’s hearts and is acclaimed by international critics
for her great artistic talent that fascinated the world on the notes
of “Beautiful That Way”, the sound track of “La vita è bella”
(“Life
Is Beautiful”), makes a comeback four years after the release of
her last recording in the dual guise of performer and author of the
lyrics to present her new album “Love Medicine”.
The
key word of this new album and of the concert of 21 October is love,
as expressed in a verse of one of her songs: “Love you brother, and
sister, as you love yourself”. This is the reason why Noa was
chosen by the Fondazione InSé Onlus and its president, Iole Sacchi
Cisnetto, to be the star of this music and solidarity event.
All
the proceeds from the concert will go to finance education projects
in the Kimbondo community in the Democratic Republic of Congo, a real
oasis of hope in a land stricken by poverty and disease. Created in
the ‘80s at only a few kilometres from Kinshasa thanks to the
commitment of paediatrician Laura Perna and of Father Hugo Rios, the
Pediatric Hospital of Kimbondo is the region’s only gratuitous
medical facility providing free assistance to children who are
abandoned because they are thought to be "Ndoki" (child
witch doctors), as well as to orphans, destitute children, young
mothers and disabled children. Moreover, Kimbondo has also become a
reception and treatment center for single mothers and a schooling
center for children up to 18 years of age. Because a process of
growth and education, taken step by step, is the only real path
towards deliverance. And this is where the founding value of the
Community lies, a unique example in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Fondazione
InSè and Noa will therefore be waiting for you on 21 October at the
Teatro Brancaccio of Rome, to share an extraordinary experience
featuring great Music and Solidarity.
As
a token of the transversal value of solidarity, the concert received
the sponsorship of the President of the Italian Republic, the
patronage of the Senate of the Republic, of the Chamber of Deputies,
of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Regional Council of Lazio,
the Roma Capitale Authority, the Province of Rome and the Embassy of
the Democratic Republic of Congo.
